Thesis

  • [2022 Master’s thesis] 佐々木一織,モバイルセンサを用いたGNSS軌跡データの分節化手法の提案と評価 / Proposal and Evaluation of Articulation Method for GNSS Trajectory Data Using Mobile Sensors.[in Japanese]
— Recording GNSS trajectory data to visualize an individual’s movement on a map is an effective way to communicate behavioral experiences both intuitively and objectively. This study highlights the need for characterization and simplification to enhance user interfaces. Consequently, the paper proposes an algorithm named Multiple Mobile Sensor-Based Articulation, which analyzes walkers’ behaviors through mobile sensor fusion and enriches the review of their walking tours.

  • [2020 Bachelor’s thesis] 佐々木一織,イラスト表現と位置情報を活用した、まちあるき体験の記録・視覚化 —『あきた羽州街道 時を超えた散歩道』を例に— / Digital Diary of Walking Tours Utilizing Illustrated Maps and GPS Trajectory — “Akita Ushu Kaido: Walks beyond Time” as an Example.[in Japanese]
— This study explores “human-centered mapping,” which enhances walking tour experiences by integrating analog map-based guidebooks with mobile environments. Walking tour experiences are categorized into ‘during-walking’ and ‘post-walking’ phases. We designed and implemented three key functions: (1) searching for and finding guide information, (2) a multimedia recording interface, and (3) a feature for reliving the recorded data.
